This specification is approved for use by the Department of the Air Force and is available
for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.

SCOPE
1.1
Scope. This specification covers the requirements for one type of extreme cold weather
underwear, designated CWU-22/P.
1.2
Classification. The underwear should be in the following sizes as specified (see 6.2). The
civilian equivalent sizes are in parentheses.
